I know it seems strange to wax lyrical about a blast furnace, but the one in this picture (along with others) has dominated the local skyline of Teesside for decades.

So I felt as if I had to record the event. Along with thousands of other people I headed down to a nearby allotments to film the demolition. It ended up that the chap stood next to me had worked at British Steel in the past and explained to me the whole steel making process.
